python-fftw software package provides Python bindings to the FFTW3 C-library for Fourier transforms, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-fftw
python-fftw is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-fftw package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-fftw *
You will get with python-fftw package name, version, architecture and description in a table
